Biro on the back of a manuscript

I was reading a book manuscript for a friend in Borders, Oxford and liked the look of the guy at the top, so turned a page over and sketched with a Biro. I was less happy with the young women I attempted afterwards.

Hey Al, I actually like the sketch of the girl quite a bit. Obviously I don't know if you captured her likeness or not, but that's not really that important. There's a nice subtle bit of body language with the way she's leaning slightly forward in her chair... I dig it.

I appreciate what you said about body-language, Steve, because I usually feel I don't get enough done to capture that sort of fascinating aspect of a subject. Mustn't get caught up in the details and with capturing likeness, which I aim to. Thanks for stopping by!
